Donation and Refund Policy
Dracobyte LLC | Dracobyte | Effective April 20, 2026
Dracobyte's core service is free. Voluntary donations and optional paid upgrades help cover infrastructure costs. This policy explains how those transactions work, how refunds are handled, and how chargebacks are processed.
1. Donations
1.1 Nature of Donations
Donations made to Dracobyte LLC are voluntary and non-refundable except where required by law. Unless we expressly state otherwise at the time of donation, a donation does not entitle the donor to any additional service, priority support, promotional benefit, or ownership interest.
1.2 Tax Treatment
Dracobyte LLC is a for-profit limited liability company. Donations are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. We do not issue charitable donation receipts. We may issue a plain receipt for your records on request.
1.3 Refunds on Donations
Because donations are voluntary, they are non-refundable once processed. If a donation was made in error (for example, duplicate charge, unauthorized use of a payment method), email billing@dracobyte.pro within thirty days of the charge with details, and we will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a refund.
2. Paid Upgrades
2.1 What Paid Upgrades Include
Paid upgrades may include expanded memory, storage, CPU priority, additional player slots, or other features that we describe at the point of sale. Specific terms applicable to a given upgrade are presented in the order form and are incorporated into your agreement with us.
2.2 Billing
We charge paid upgrades in U.S. dollars unless the order form indicates otherwise. Our payment processor handles card information, and we do not store full payment card numbers. Upgrades automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. You may cancel at any time in the control panel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
2.3 Taxes
Listed prices may be exclusive of applicable sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes. Where we are required to collect such taxes, they will be added to the listed price.
2.4 Automatic Renewal Disclosures
Clear-and-conspicuous notice. Paid upgrades automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price until you cancel. By completing a paid upgrade checkout, you acknowledge and affirmatively consent to these automatic renewal terms as required by the Illinois Automatic Contract Renewal Act, 815 ILCS 601/1 et seq., the California Automatic Renewal Law, California Business and Professions Code Section 17600 et seq., and the Federal Trade Commission's Negative Option Rule.
How to cancel. You may cancel at any time through the control panel using a single-step cancellation path that does not require speaking to a representative, or by emailing billing@dracobyte.pro from the address on the account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you will not be charged for any renewal after cancellation is received.
Renewal reminders. For any paid upgrade with an initial term of twelve months or longer that automatically renews for a period of more than one month, we will send a reminder email to the account address between thirty and forty-five days before the renewal date. This window is the intersection of the Illinois Automatic Contract Renewal Act, 815 ILCS 601/10(b) (30 to 60 days), the California Business and Professions Code Section 17602(b)(3) (15 to 45 days), and the Federal Trade Commission Negative Option Rule. The reminder will identify the upcoming renewal, the amount to be charged, and the cancellation method. Where required by applicable state law, your initial enrollment will include an affirmative acknowledgement of these automatic renewal terms captured as a separate checkbox or equivalent affirmative action.
Material changes. If we materially change the automatic renewal terms after you enroll, we will provide clear and conspicuous notice and, where required, obtain your affirmative consent before the change takes effect.
3. Refunds on Paid Upgrades
3.1 Satisfaction Window
New customers purchasing their first monthly paid upgrade may request a full refund of that first month within seven days of the initial charge, provided that the account has not violated the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
3.2 Pro-Rated Refunds
Outside the satisfaction window, paid upgrades are non-refundable. We may, in our discretion, issue a pro-rated refund where a material service failure occurred and was attributable to us, after reasonable opportunity to cure.
3.3 Annual Plans
If annual billing is offered and accepted, you may request a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the annual term if you cancel due to a material breach of the Agreement by us that we fail to cure within thirty days of notice.
3.4 Exclusions
Refunds are not available for periods during which the account was suspended or terminated for violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, for force majeure events described in the SLA, for dissatisfaction with third-party plugins or mods, or for underutilization of purchased resources.
4. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer instead of contacting us first, we will cooperate with the issuer's investigation. We encourage you to contact billing@dracobyte.pro first so we can resolve the issue directly, which is generally faster than the card-network dispute process and avoids any impact on your account standing.
How chargebacks affect your account. A chargeback that is resolved in your favor by the card network, or that we determine after investigation was a legitimate dispute, will not by itself result in any account action. Repeated chargebacks that are resolved in our favor, or chargebacks filed without first contacting support where the underlying issue is not a billing error or fraud, may be treated as a material breach of the Terms of Service, may result in termination of your account, and may prevent future use of the Service.
Chargeback service fee. We do not currently charge a chargeback service fee. If we introduce one in the future, the fee amount will be disclosed at the point of sale and in this Policy before it takes effect, and will not be applied to chargebacks resolved in your favor.
5. Price Changes
We may change prices or introduce new fees. Changes will take effect for new orders upon posting and for renewals only after notice sent at least thirty days in advance. You may cancel before a renewal to avoid a price increase.
6. How to Request Billing Help
Send billing questions and refund requests to billing@dracobyte.pro. Include the email address on the account, the transaction date, the last four digits of the payment method, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within two business days. Complex cases may take longer.
7. Relationship to Other Documents
This policy is subject to the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. General support: support@dracobyte.pro. Legal notices: legal@dracobyte.pro.
